Welcome to the African American Cultural Center

The African American Cultural Center is one of four campus community centers (along with the LGBTQ Pride Center, Multicultural Student Affairs, and the Women’s Center) housed under the Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA). The AACC is open to and serves all identities, and promotes awareness of and appreciation for African American and other African descent experiences through activities and events that enhance academic excellence and strengthen cultural competence for the campus and surrounding communities.

Alexis Grant found her home-away-from-home at NC State by chance. As she and her roommate explored campus early in their freshman year, they discovered the African American Cultural Center (AACC) on the third floor of Witherspoon Student Center. They immediately felt welcomed by students, staff, and the center’s vibrant environment.
