Welcome to the African American Cultural Center

The African American Cultural Center is a student success unit housed under the Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA). The AACC is open to and serves all identities. We provide activities and programs that enhance academic excellence for the campus and surrounding communities.

The AACC Library is hiring an Undergraduate Research Assistant (URA) for the Fall 2026 semester! 📚📝✨

Apply to assist the AACC Library Graduate Research Assistant’s research of the library’s African artifacts collection, which contains statues, masks, instruments, art, and figurines. Tasks will include conducting qualitative research to support creation of public facing descriptions for these cultural artifacts and supporting the inventorying of the artifacts. The URA will expand their research skills, gain hands-on experience working in a library and archival setting, and knowledge of the processes of creating archival records. 🌍📚

Please note: this opportunity is available only to students with Federal Work-Study (FWS) eligibility. Check with your financial aid office if you’re unsure of your status.✅
