Welcome to the African American Cultural Center
The African American Cultural Center is a student success unit housed under the Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA). The AACC is open to and serves all identities. We provide activities and programs that enhance academic excellence for the campus and surrounding communities.
The African American Cultural Center is accepting clothing donations to share with students. Please bring freshly laundered outerwear in good condition.
Clothing will be shared with students during an upcoming learning lab that teaches about sustainable fashion, upcycling, and more.
Clothing may be dropped off to the AACC, Witherspoon 356 in the care of Dr. Andaiye Qaasim (Assistant Director) or Destinee Wormack (GA).

We`ll have snacks all day and at 12pm a ribbon cutting + lunch!

Big News 🚨 . . . The AACC Kitchen is freshly remodeled and ready for use !!
We now have a sink, ample fridge and freezer space, and a brand new microwave! There`s also a nice sitting area that overlooks Cates Ave. so stop by and stay for awhile!

The African American Cultural Center goes purple with our friends in the NC State Women’s Centers and their work against Domestic Violence. Visit their silent witness project on the 3rd floor of the AACC in our Living Room.

The Women’s Centers hosts events throughout the month of October to raise awareness of the prevalence and impact of domestic violence, and share resources and strategies to support those who have experienced it. It’s important to understand that domestic violence can occur in many different forms, including physical, sexual, emotional, and economic, and it can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, class, or ability.
