AACC Library’s Reader Lounge!
The AACC Library Reader Lounge is a monthly “silent” book club/communal reading session where NC State University students, faculty, and staff can connect over a shared love for books and reading in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Meet new friends, share thoughts on your current read, and discover new titles from our specialized collection of African-American and Afro diasporic experiences, culture, society, and history!
You can bring your own book, explore the shelves for your next read, ask the AACC Librarians for a curated suggestion or pick up a mystery book to read- you can even bring your reading assignments if you like! Come solo or bring your friend group! All are welcome to join!
There will be:
- endless books to choose from
- community introductions and book recommendations
- snacks, tea and coffee
- a community curated playlist of music
- cozy spaces and blankets
- space to discuss your chosen book and share your review on it with your new friends!
