Ebony Harlem Awards
The Ebony Harlem Awards is the annual celebration of campus life at NC State. Ebony Harlem began in 1993 as a means to recognize the amazing efforts and impact of our community on and off-campus. It is a joyous celebration that honors NC State’s graduates, students, staff, faculty, and community.
Our 2024 theme pulled from the 1990s, a foundational period of Black popular culture in media, politics and entertainment, as well as another foundational era in the solidification of Black cultural life on NC State’s campus. The 2024 theme, “It’s a 90s Vibe” was a reflection on our past, present, and beyond at NC State.

Ebony Harlem is an annual event that honors and recognizes the contributions of undergraduate and graduate students on campus who are connected to the AACC. We also honor the contributions, work, and mentorship of staff and faculty who support our students each year; celebrate our graduates, and foster connections to the NC State’s Black Alumni Society.
